NJPW Reportedly Blocks A HUGE Potential Match For WrestleMania Weekend
According to a report from Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, he talked about NJPW’s big WrestleMania weekend show and how the company recently blocked a huge potential match from happening involving a couple of their top stars.
Regarding the proposed match for New Japan’s WrestleMania weekend show, Meltzer said:
“The big idea was Omega and Ibushi vs Fenix and Pentagon and they were not allowed to do that match. I mean New Japan completely blocked it said they could not work against those guys because those guys are AAA guys. But times have changed and the fact is CMLL does use Fenix and Pentagon so maybe someone could book that match.”
This is rather interesting news, because Kenny Omega and Pentagon Jr. have already wrestled each other earlier this year, when the two face off in a singles match in Chicago at ALL IN.
