Brock Lesnar once again became the WWE Universal Champion after his victory over Braun Strowman, with the help of Baron Corbin, at WWE’s Crown Jewel PPV earlier this month.
Lesnar’s WWE status has been a hot topic this year, as rumors of him leaving the company to focus on a return to the UFC, only to see him once again come back and capture the Universal Title. The highly anticipated clash between UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar has been rumored to be on the table for UFC’s March PPV from Las Vegas, but will Brock still be WWE Universal Champion by then?
Many WWE fans hope not, as fans have openly expressed their displeasure of Brock Lesnar’s rare title defenses and appearances on RAW. But fans aren’t the only ones who apparently aren’t pleased with the way Brock Lesnar has been treated and booked by WWE.
It was mentioned in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there have been rumblings backstage within WWE that some of the talents are frustrated with Lesnar’s booking, and that he is “pretty much bulletproof”.
“I heard more from talent about Lesnar, including the frustration and reality that he’s pretty much bulletproof.”
