At Survivor Series, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins faced off against United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a champion vs champion match in order to determine who was the superior brand.
Seth would defeat Nakamura in a hard-fought match. After the match, he was interviewed backstage where he remarked on his victory and how he needed an ice bath. He was shortly told that he would be defending his IC title against Dean Ambrose at TLC.
The two have been feuding ever since Dean Ambrose turned heel on Rollins, after winning the RAW Tag Titles.
