Who Is Responsible For Dean Ambrose Dark Remarks About Roman’s Leukemia & Braun’s Dismemberment Line?
On last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, there were a couple of lines of dialogue which have apparently not sat well with some of the fans.
During Braun Strowman and Stephanie McMahon’s segment there was jokes and mention of “dismemberment” which many felt was too soon in wake of the situation with Saudi Arabia and the dismemberment of Jamal Khassogi. Also during Dean Ambrose segment with Seth Rollins, Ambrose make a remark about Roman Reigns battle with leukemia and how because of his part in The Shield that Roman now has to “answer to the man upstairs”.
While many fans voiced their displeasure with the lines of dialogue, on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer points out that in the end the decision for what makes the air goes through Vince, as all final say goes through Vince McMahon.
“You can’t be blaming the writer because this thing goes into a production meeting and there are twenty people in that production meeting, okay? The head guy is Vince McMahon. So you have all these producers, you have Vince McMahon, you all these filters to go through. It went through every single filter. Yes, you can say fire the writer but you have to fire everyone else that it went through.”
“At the end of the day all of these things, every word that’s written all the things like that. The approval has to go through Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon is the one responsible for every line, every angle or every line. Writers can come up with the stupidest things in the world, and you can fire them but this thing went through way too many filters to just go ‘fire the writers.’ ”
