Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts Recalls Time Roddy Piper Pulled A Gun On Him For A Backstage Prank

Roddy Piper had a larger than life personality and was a huge draw. He was known as The Hot Rod due to his fiery delivery. But it seems he also could pull a gun on you if he was spooked by a snake.

On Joe Rogan Experience, Jake Roberts talked about one time when he tried to pull a prank on Piper but Roddy had seen it coming. This is what he said:

“Piper’s terrified of snakes. Piper pulled a gun on me one time over a snake. Yeah, I snuck up behind him with a snake and he f*ckin’ heard me and he goes: ‘Jake!’ I go, ‘Yeah?’ — He goes, ‘I know what you’re f*ckin’ doin’!’ and he gets his f*ckin’ pistol and pulls it out and goes, ‘Motherf*cker! I’ll kill ya!’ — ‘Okay, Roddy, I get, I get!’ The guy was shakin’ man.”

Jake surly learnt not to sneak up on Roddy with a snake, after that incident.
