Independent Wrestler Starts Important Wrestling Debate – Seth Rollins & Many Others Weigh In
Wrestling Twitter is known to have debates from time to time again. Recently independent wrestler Aria Blake seems to have stoked the flames to a new debate. Should wrestlers travel long distances for little to no pay?
The tweet has since been deleted but here is the screen grab.
After the initial post, many wrestlers and fans weighed in on the topic. Sami Callihan being one of the first.
It’s called paying your dues. Maybe this new generation should learn it.
Many before you have drove 12 plus hours with zero guarantees. It’s called getting your name out there. Same as a band trying to make it.
Everyone is so entitled…without wanting to do the work. https://t.co/AueX4yYfFQ

Throughout our three years, there’s been numerous talents that have driven 12-15+ hours just to help us set up and ready to do anything asked.
Many of those have become core roster members as we move into our biggest year yet.
Crazy how it works.

We all mark ourselves as a certain value and it’s your prerogative what that value is.
Looking at bookings as value whether it’s monetary, experience, exposure, networking, future opportunity, etc.
Always find value in everything you do.

And the same fans that are complaining about wrestler wages and making fun of me for paying my dues are the same losers who brag on twitter about illegally streaming my shows…

“The 1st ever Joey Janela Pay your dues challenge”
The first wrestler to travel 8+ plus hours (with proof) to bring me a Hotdog and give me a handshake at my doorstep will get a no expenses paid spot in this years clusterfuck..
