Kevin Owens is currently out due to a knee injury, for which he had a successful surgery. He made a name for himself in the indies and has also accomplished a lot in his time in WWE so far.
On F4WOnline, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Kevin Owens’ current contract is set to expire in the Spring of 2023. Which means we will be seeing Kevin Owens for another 5 years or so.
While there are many reasons for WWE locking down their talents, it’s not likely got nothing to do with All Elite Wrestling, which will be started by The Elite.
Rather, WWE is looking to sign longer contracts with their superstars due to more money coming from the new television deals. We will have to wait and see how Kevin Owens will be used once he’s back.
