Every year, WWE does all it can to make Wrestlemania a memorable event. After all, it is the biggest pay-per-view of the company and so the card has to live up to the hype.
AJ Styles losing his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan was certainly unexpected and shocked many fans. However, there might have been a reason for that, as it might play into WWE’s new plans for WrestleMania.
On Barnburner‘s No Holds Barred podcast, Joe Piesich said that Randy Orton is being considered as AJ’s opponent at Wrestlemania. It would be an interesting matchup as we never saw the two square off on a big stage.
It is to be noted that AJ Styles’ contract will expire shortly after Wrestlemania. So it is definitely an interesting time.
There are still many things to be considered for Wrestlemania. So plans might be change at the drop of a dime. We will have to wait and see what happens.
