Finn Balor was scheduled to compete at WWE TLC in a match against Drew McIntyre. However, he has been suffering from an illness this past week and was pulled from many events as well as RAW. It seems that even his TLC match might not be happening anymore.
PW Insider reported that it is unclear whether Finn Balor’s match at WWE TLC will even take place as Balor is not cleared for physical contact yet. WWE is very serious about contagious illnesses and so they will not let him compete until they are certain he is better. The nature of his illness is still unknown, but it is serious enough for WWE to not let him compete.
Mike Johnson said, “I am leaning towards this match not happening.” This might work out in Finn’s favor as he was most likely going to lose the match at WWE TLC anyway.
This is certainly ironic, considering Finn’s match at last year’s TLC was filled in by AJ Styles, as Bray Wyatt was suffering from the mumps. We hope Balor recovers soon enough.
