Asuka Becomes Champion At WWE TLC
In what was a true show stealer, Becky Lynch defended her Smackdown Women’s Title against Asuka and Charlotte Flair in the first-ever female triple threat TLC match at WWE TLC.
It was pure carnage from start to finish, with each of the competitors giving it their all in order to win the championship. They would be involved in some very high risk spots that certainly made the match all the more memorable.
At the end of the match, when both Charlotte and Becky were moving up the ladder in order to get hold of the title, Ronda Rousey interfered in the match. She pushed the ladder the two were on and knocked them over.
Taking advantage of the situation, Asuka quickly climbed the ladder and grabbed the title for the win, thus becoming the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. This is her first reign as champion on the main roster.
The pay-per-view concluded with Becky and Charlotte staring down one another, aware that they had a common enemy now in Ronda Rousey.
So, from the looks of it, WWE’s original plans for Wrestlemania involving Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will be happening. Things are about to get interesting.
