WWE’s Abysmal Rating Might Put TV Deal In Jeapordy

WWE’s product lately has been abysmal to say the least, with RAW reaching an all-time low in ratings week after week. Vince McMahon came on RAW this past week and made announcements, ushering the New Era in WWE.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Will Cooling, who was a guest, broke down WWE’s current relationship with their long-time television partner in the United Kingdom.

“People thought the reason WWE’s ratings have collapsed on Sky was because people are using your kind of either your in-cable on-demand service or your online service to Raw rather than watch your linear TV show and it’s not true. We can see those statistics now and it didn’t make any difference.”

“People have just stopped watching the program. There was a SmackDown that was watched by just over 20,000 people a few weeks ago. Sky are clearly de-emphasizing WWE. This week and next week it’s not on its usual station because they’ve got other things that they’d rather show. I don’t know it’s looking bad for WWE and Sky.”

Hopefully WWE improves it product soon enough, as they are in deep water right now.
