Rusev challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for his United States Championship on this week’s Smackdown Live.
The match was actually taped last Tuesday night at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA. The match aired today and it coincided with Rusev’s 34th birtday.
After a hard-fought match, Rusev would land a Machka Kick and beat Nakamura to become the new United States Champion. This is Rusev’s third reign with the WWE United States Title.
