Chris Jericho Not Done With NJPW
Chris Jericho defended his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against Tetsuya Naito at the Wrestle Kingdom 13 event. He would lose the championship to Naito.
Due to all the rumors concerning his involvement All Elite Wrestling, fans believed that Jericho would jump ship to AEW and leave NJPW. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Jericho was interviewed by Yahoo! Japan after his loss at the show. Jericho said he was not done with NJPW and then proceeded to challenge IGWP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi.
“It is a big mistake if [you] think that the time with me and [New Japan Pro Wrestling] will be over, I kept the [Intercontinental Belt] for the longest in 2018. So, let me tell you, I want to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Belt. … Chris Jericho will challenge the IWGP Heavyweight Champion and you will understand!”
So it is a wonder what Jericho will do now in his career. If he will work both NJPW and AEW or not. We will have to wait and see what he does.
