Former WWE Superstar Victoria Retiring in 2019
Lisa Marie Varon, better known to the wrestling world as WWE’s Victoria and TNA/Impact Wrestling’s Tara, announced on Instagram today that she was going to retire from in-ring competition by the end of 2019.
She said that she’ll be wrapping up her career this year, but told fans to expect an “exciting new adventure” soon.
Victoria had a great career in professional wrestling. In WWE, she had memorable feuds with the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Molly Holly, and Gail Kim. She was also featured in the first-ever women’s steel cage match on RAW, where she beat Lita.
Victoria is a two-time WWE Women’s Champion, a five-time TNA Knockouts Champion, and a one-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Brooke Tessmacher.
