Hulk Hogan made his return to RAW after a long time to honor his old friend ”Mean” Gene Okerlund’s memory.
He came out to the ring to a loud pop. Then Hogan started with, “Well, let me tell you something, brother.” He explained that he came in character as Gene would’ve wanted it that way.
Hogan then introduced a wonderful video package to tribute Gene Okerlund. After which, he cut a promo on ”Mean” Gene where he said he was with commentating a match between Roddy Piper and Macho Man with Andre The Giant as a special referee. He also mentioned Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan as well as Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young.
Hogan ended it by saying ”What ya gonna do when Mean Gene-o-mania runs wild on you, brother?”
