WWE Reverses Decision Banning Fans With AEW Merchandise From SmackDown
All Elite Wrestling held a special Double Or Nothing Rally today in Jacksonville, Florida, which happens to also be the location for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown LIVE.
We had previously reported that WWE was turning away fans at tonight’s SmackDown Live in Jacksonville that wear wearing All Elite Wrestling merchandise.
While at first WWE appears to have been turning fans away at the gate, and prohibiting fans wearing AEW merchandise from even walking up and buying tickets, it looks like WWE quickly changed their minds as the word spread quickly online and across social media. There is no word on why they reversed their ban on AEW merchandise, but they did and began allowing fans in regardless.
You can see video below which a fan recorded that shows a WWE security guard explaining that WWE had changed their decision about allowed AEW gear into the arena despite already telling many fans that they could not enter the building.
The fan tweeting the video and included the caption:
“Security is now allowing in AEW shirts after tossing me out for wearing one. I even offered to buy a WWE shirt and they wouldn’t allow me to. I was able to get back in through another entrance after changing”.
