The Double or Nothing rally had many great announcements. However, the biggest of them all was definitely Chris Jericho signing with All Elite Wrestling.
Jericho was long rumored to be involved with the promotion. However, many still thought he would be loyal to WWE and not sign with AEW. Of course, that wasn’t the case.
As Jericho wasn’t signed with WWE in any way, there was no official announcement on WWE’s part. However, they did change a couple of things.
Chris’s signing was announced earlier in the day. Responding to it, WWE moved the former World Champion’s profile to the alumni section of their website by the evening:
Some fans also noted that WWE was also quick to edit the SmackDown Live intro which aired later in the night and Jericho was removed from the video package.
