WWE Reported To Be Close To Narrowing Down Location For WrestleMania 36
WWE’s annual WrestleMania Pay-Per-View is historically the company’s biggest event of the year. This year’s WrestleMania 35 will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey as WWE takes over the New York & New Jersey area for a week this April.
Plans for next year’s WrestleMania 36 remain unknown as WWE has yet to announce the host city for the week’s events. Brad Shepard provided an update on plans for next year’s WrestleMania on the latest episode of the “Oh, You Didn’t Know” podcast. Shepard said that WWE still is not 100% sure which city will be the home of WrestleMania 36, but that they have more than likely narrowed down which state it will take place.
Regarding WrestleMania 36 plans, Shepard said:
“WrestleMania 36 update… 80% chance it will be in Florida. Florida is now the heavy favorite to host WrestleMania 36. I don’t know which city but I was told it’s not likely to be Orlando again.”
Co-host Jon Fisher also mentioned that they had previously reported that the city of Tampa had put in a bid for WrestleMania 36. Brad confirmed that Tampa is indeed in the running for host city, and that Vince McMahon loves the city of Tampa, Florida.
Historically WWE has announced the location for the next year’s WrestleMania around the time of the current year’s event, so we should know more in the following months.
