Kane Talks Why He Worked Crown Jewel Event Despite Controversy
The Crown Jewel PPV was one of the most controversial events WWE has held in the history of the company. It was criticized by fans and wrestlers alike for various reasons.
Superstars like John Cena and Daniel Bryan pulled themselves out of the show due to moral reasons. However, many WWE superstars decided to go through with the event.
One of these stars was the former World Champion Kane, who was asked why he participated in Crown Jewel during a Reddit AMA. Here is what Kane said in reply:
Because WWE donated $100,000 to the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation which was arranged long before the controversy. I made a commitment to our local first responders and I wasn’t willing to break that.
Kane also discussed playing as himself in WWE 2K series video games and more. Check out his full AMA at this link.
