WWE Reported To Have Had Big Plans In Place For The Elite At WrestleMania
WWE has historically pulled out all the stops for their biggest show of the year, WrestleMania. Apparently, WWE had some big plans for this year’s WrestleMania 35 event, however those are now off the table with the news this week that members of The Elite signed with All Elite Wrestling.
In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that people in WWE were said to have seen The Elite turning down WWE’s contract offers as “ming-boggling.” The report stated that it was hard to believe that WWE would have made an offer of that level to The Elite in the first place, not to mention the fact that WWE’s offer was turned down.
The report went on to say that WWE already had big storyline plans in mind for The Elite to go along with the offers made. Apparently WWE was so confident in fact that The Young Bucks were WWE-Bound, that Dave Meltzer claims he was told that The Elite was to debut at this year’s Royal Rumble PPV. It was also reported that WWE “had a Rumble-to-Mania significant storyline.”
