WWE Reported To Have Offered Hangman Page “Main Roster Money To Work NXT”
With the official AEW contract signing of members of The Elite earlier this week, it officially closed the door on rumors of their possible jump to the WWE.
It has been reported that WWE was going hard after The Elite, and that Triple H dealt with the group personally in hopes to bring them all in together. It was also said that the deals offered would also have seen the group bring their “Being The Elite” show over to the WWE Network. The reported deal offered to The Young Bucks was said to be massive, and that their rejection of the deal was “mind-boggling” to those in WWE.
Not only had WWE gone hard after Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks to add to the main roster, but apparently made a huge play for Adam “Hangman” Page as well. However, his offer wasn’t to be part of WWE’s main roster.
In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that Hangman Page “was offered main roster money to work NXT.”
Obviously this would have meant separating the group, which could have played a part in how their decision turned out.
