The Royal Rumble event will take over Chase Field on January 27th. The fact that the event will take place in a baseball stadium is certainly interesting, considering it is a pro wrestling event.
The layout of the Chase Field stadium made it seem that entrances will be different from usual. Daniel Bryan confirmed this when he spoke to ABC 15 in Arizona.
“It’s an incredible stadium, and we were actually just talking about what the metamorphosis would look like. Right now the thought is that we come out of the dugout. We’ve never had a Royal Rumble at a baseball stadium before. I’m super psyched, I’ve never come out of a dugout to go to a wrestling show before, so I think it should be exciting.”
So it seems that this year’s Royal Rumble will be unlike previous ones, as superstars will be coming down an entrance ramp from the dugout. This is certainly different from what we are used to. We will have to see just how long it will take for the superstars to reach the ring from the ramp.
