Finn Balor has worked in the United Kingdom indie scene, so he has history there. As he was around, NXT UK booked him in a match at TakeOver: Blackpool.
Jordan Devlin attacked Travis Banks before the match, and he was under the impression he would get away without competing in a match.
However, NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint then announced a surprise opponent for him.
Out come Finn Balor, where he received a loud pop from the crowd.
Balor actually trained Jordan, so this was a match between teacher and student. It was a solid match, where Balor picked up the win with a
Coup De Gras.
2019 is off to a good start for Balor, so we hope he continues this momentum throughout the year.
