Kurt Angle’s Niece Found Safe After Amber Alert Had Been Issued Following Her Abduction
WWE Superstar Kurt Angle took to social media yesterday to spread the news and information about the Amber Alert for his 16 year old niece who had been abducted.
We are pleased to report that according to an update from WPXI in Pittsburgh, she has been found and that the suspect in her abduction has been arrested and taken into custody.
19 year old Jermaine Rodgers has been arrested after he and 16 year old Marjani Aquil were located early Thursday morning. According to Police, Rodgers allegedly abducted Aquil from her home around 4:30 pm on Wednesday. Police have said that Rodgers allegedly broke into the home and beat the girl before abducting her. The victim’s is said to have mother witnessed the attack on surveillance video, according to court documents.
There was a standoff early this morning between Rodgers and a SWAT Team who eventually had to physically go and find the suspect hiding in the coal cellar. Christopher Kearns, of Allegheny County Police, said. “It was under the front porch. They broke the window so they could see into the area and that’s where they saw him hiding.”
