Why Incoming NXT Call-Ups Had Uninspiring Debuts On RAW
This week’s RAW featured the debuts of EC3, Lacy Events and Heavy Machinery. However, they were uninspiring, to say the least. Many fans and even a WWE Hall of Famer were unhappy with the debuts.
They didn’t complain about Nikki Cross as she actually competed in a match on RAW. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes WWE’s reason for such forgettable debuts.
It is reported that Vince McMahon simply wanted the NXT superstars to be seen on television. WWE hasn’t decided what to do with them yet.
The idea is to keep the new Superstars on television while WWE decides what to do with the superstars. They believe that fans will forget the dull debuts once the NXT call-ups are involved in storylines and compete in matches.
So we will definitely be seeing more of EC3, Lacy Evans and Heavy Machinery. We will have to wait and see how they are used on RAW.
Nikki is the first NXT newcomer who is wrestling a televised match on the main roster. She took a tag early on in the match and wrestled in a way only she could.
It is great to see Nikki on the main roster finally. We will have to wait and see how she fares.
