The tag team division in the WWE is subjected to a lot of criticism, and for good reason. The tag titles simply don’t seem to matter all that match. Even though each brand has great talents.
However, it seems that WWE might finally be giving importance to the tag team division. On this week’s RAW, we saw Heavy Machinery debut and also the return of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins as a team.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer Noted that WWE is telling their tag team division that it will be given more importance now.
“Maybe they’re getting all these tag teams ready when they start promoting the tag team division.”
“That’s the idea is that they’re going to start promoting the tag team division. That’s what they’re telling all the tag teams. Yeah, they’re doing it, they’re going to start building up the division. That’s why we got Dozovic and those guys. We got Hawkins and Ryder back together. Everyone was waiting for Hawkins and Ryder’s return.”
This could be a step in the right direction for WWE. So we will have to wait and see what the company does for the tag team division.
