The Royal Rumble has historically been a night full of surprises, and this year should be no different.
Many have been speculating and commenting on rumors that Roman Reigns could possibly make his return and appear tonight in some capacity at the Royal Rumble PPV. However, Roman is still fighting his battle against leukemia and it is said to be taken day to day.
Roman wrapped up filming of the newest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise “Hobbs and Shaw” along with The Rock yesterday in Hawaii. Mike Johnson talked about the possibility of Roman appearing tonight at The Rumble on a recently audio update via PWInsider Elite. He noted that it is always a possibility that Roman could be flown in being that WWE owns a private jet, but that fans shouldn’t hold their breath.
Regarding Roman Reigns’ potential Royal Rumble appearance, Johnson said:
“We have not heard anything about Roman being there. Certainly, WWE could pop him on a plane and have him fly there privately and get him from Hawaii to Arizona in relative ease I assume, but I kinda say don’t hold your breath on a Roman Reigns’ appearance.”
