The Undertaker’s WrestleMania 35 Status Reportedly “Up In The Air”
The Undertaker will forever be synonymous with WrestleMania due to his impressive winning streak. Although eventually the streak was broken by Brock Lesnar and another loss came at the hands of Roman Reigns, it will be hard to imagine a WrestleMania without an appearance from The Undertaker.
In recent years the status of The Undertaker for WrestleMania has been a hot topic of speculation and rumor, and of course this year appears to be no different.
As we saw last night at the Royal Rumble, there was no appearance or mention of The Undertaker, and it looks like there will not be an Undertaker match at WrestleMania 35. According to a report from Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it is said that The Undertaker is not scheduled to be a part of this year’s WrestleMania, and that his return is said to be up in the air at best.
Regarding The Undertaker’s WrestleMania 35 status, Meltzer said:
“They have a top of the card lined up, not the whole card, but they got the top of the card done and he’s not in that. That doesn’t mean that he can’t be added. So I mean as far as the rumors, I can’t imagine The Undertaker in a nothing match. I think he’s either in a big match or he’s not there at all and right now he’s not in a big match.”
“Can that change next week? Of course, it can so I would say it’s up in the air. You can say that there are no plans I can say as of four or five days ago he’s not listed for the card.”
It was also mentioned how The Undertaker’s didn’t look good in his previous two matches last year at WWE’s Super Show-Down and WWE’s Crown Jewel PPV’s. It was said that it isn’t like The Undertaker will never wrestle again, however that he might need to take another break. The Undertaker more than likely is not in need of money, so protecting his image is more important to him at this point in his career.
