As reported earlier, Dean Ambrose might be leaving WWE after Wrestlemania. He made WWE know this during the Royal Rumble weekend
PW Torch reported that Dean Ambrose has been frustrated with the creative direction of his character for a long time. He made it obvious that he didn’t want to re-sign with the WWE after his contract expires.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explainde Dean Ambrose’s frustrations with WWE. Here is what he said:
“There are situations that he didn’t really like hokey things. I know that to be true.”
“I know that he doesn’t like scripted interviews. He gets really mad when he’s doing hokey scripted interviews. I mean that’s well-known. So what he’s gonna do and everything like that you know he’s been pushed as a pretty big star.”
WWE is very restrictive and hardly allows any creative control over its superstars. They make them read lines and they have to do what they’re told. Dean Ambrose became frustrated and didn’t want to read someone else’s version for his character.
We will have to wait and see what happens, but we might not be seeing Dean Ambrose in the WWE after Wrestlemania.
