Update On Details For WWE’s Halftime Heat Special
WWE announced that they will be holding a special Halftime Heat this Sunday during the Super Bowl for the first time in 20 years.
WWE’s Halftime Heat will feature a Six-Man Tag Team Match that will see The Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, and Aleister Black take on the team of Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Adam Cole.
What wasn’t announced however were details of the event, but according to a report from Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio we now know that the event will take place LIVE and will be taking place at the WWE Performance Center.
Regarding plans for WWE’s Halftime Heat this Sunday, Meltzer said:
“I don’t know exactly how they’re doing this and all. It’s on a Sunday afternoon or Sunday night. I guess they’re gonna, I don’t know if they’re gonna recruit fans. I haven’t heard anything about tickets, but they’re bringing fans into the Performance Center and it’s being shot, as far as I know it’s being shot at the Performance Center not at Full Sail.”
“They’re doing TV at Full Sail on Wednesday so I thought they would just tape it at Full Sail, but apparently they’re going live with it. So that’s the deal.”
WWE’s Halftime Heat special will air LIVE on the WWE Network and will go head to head with the Super Bowl Halftime show, which features a musical performance from Maroon 5.
