Hideo Itami Reportedly Finished With WWE After Requesting Release
This is truly a crazy time right now in professional wrestling. With the buzz surrounding the free agent frenzy that is currently underway in the business, more and more names are coming out as to be unhappy with their situation in WWE and have said to requested to be released from the company.
According to a report from Fightful, WWE Superstar Hideo Itami has asked to be released from his WWE contract.
This comes in the wake of reports that WWE Superstars Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson of The Revival, Mike & Maria Kanellis, and Dean Ambrose all informing WWE that they are unhappy and wish to leave the company.
Fightful’s report states that Hideo Itami asked to be released from his WWE contract last week. Itami finished up with the company on Tuesday night when he wrestled and lost to Akira Tozawa on 205 Live. It was said that the talk backstage is that Itami will be granted his release from the company, pending a 90-day no compete clause.
It was also said that the reason for Itami asking for his release was the same as many others within the company, he was said to be unhappy with his direction creatively.
Hideo Itami has also recently changed his Twitter handle back to reflect his original ring name KENTA. Itami tweeted out a message late Tuesday night that simply said, “THANK YOU”.
