WWE Fearing For Talents Leaving Is Nothing New
WWE is trying to avoid a situation like what happened to Dean Ambrose. However, Ambrose is unlike others. He turned down a lucrative five-year deal, after all.
Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live noted that WWE fearing their talent leaving isn’t exactly new to them as the company has been at it for weeks.
“It’s not yesterday at SmackDown, it’s been going on for weeks. They’ve been contacting everybody whose deal is up, I don’t know about everybody, but they have been contacting people whose deals are up — not soon — and they’re offering them long-term deals with raises so I mean if you think that AEW means nothing I mean it means a lot to a lot to these people.”
“Some of them are accepting and some of them like Dean Ambrose are not.”
WWE is trying all they can to lock down talents by extending their contracts, so that they don’t leave for All Elite Wrestling. We will have to wait and see what happens.
