There have been conflicting reports lately regarding the injury status of AJ Styles.
John Pollock of Post Wrestling reported that AJ was “dinged up”, which was followed up by a report from Dave Meltzer claiming that AJ Styles had suffered a hernia. We reported yesterday that a new report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said that people backstage had even heard of any injury to AJ Styles.
AJ Styles is heading into the Elimination Chamber PPV and is part of the WWE Championship Match that will be decided inside the Chamber. Syles appeared at the end of last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE and got physically involved following the conclusion of the main event and performed some of his signature moves flawlessly as if he was not injured at all.
A fan on twitter asked AJ Styles about his reported hernia after watching his performance on last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, to which AJ responded by revealing that he does not have a hernia.
Regarding his rumored hernia, AJ Styles said:
“Yeah, about that. I don’t have a hernia.”
Styles of course may still be working a little dinged up, but we can put to bed Meltzer’s false report of Styles suffering from a hernia finally.
