The United States Title was held by three superstars last week, as Rusev, Nakamura and finally R-Truth held the title. Truth then took a beatdown at the hands of the two, and it is to be assumed that is why he missed this week’s Smackdown Live.
Rusev and Nakamura won a tag team match against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows this week. While the two seem to be a tag team now, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that will be competing soon enough.
“I’m thinking that they’re going to end up with a three-way with Rusev, Nakamura, and R-Truth at the pay-per-view.”
As no secondary titles are being defended at Elimination Chamber so far, the US title can definitely be defended.
