The landscape of WWE changed last October when the then Universal Champion Roman Reigns made the shocking announcement that he was relinquishing the Universal Title immediately and was taking time away from WWE while he focused on his upcoming battle against leukemia.
Before Roman’s departure there had been many rumors and reports speculating what plans were for The Big Dog at this year’s WrestleMania 35 event. Well, it seems we now know what WWE had planned for Roman at the company’s biggest show of the year.
A fan on twitter recently asked Dave Meltzer what WWE had planned for Reigns at WrestleMania prior to the announcement of his departure, and Meltzer revealed the answer by simply saying “Ambrose.”

With the news of Dean Ambrose plans to leave WWE once his contract expires after WrestleMania, and if Roman had never had to take his WWE leave to fight leukemia, if things would have panned out differently.
