David Starr is a known proud Jewish wrestler that has done a lot to bring attention to his Jewishness. Last year David wrestled fellow famous Jewish wrestler Colt Cabana for the Jew North American Championship, sometimes known as the Jewniversal Championship. The match was at the ‘Slammin for Shabbos 3’ which took place in a back yard in Toronto, Canada.

The triple parentheses have been adopted as an online stigma by antisemites, neo-Nazis, and white nationalists to identify individuals of Jewish background as targets for online harassment, such as Jewish political journalists critical of Donald Trumpduring his 2016 election campaign.
