Recently on the E & C Pod of Awesomeness, Former WWE Superstar Jack Swagger was a recent guest of their show. On that episode of the podcast, one of the things discussed was when Jack Swagger cashed in his Money in The Bank Briefcase back in 2010.
At the time Chris Jericho was World Heavyweight Champion and had a program with Edge.
Swagger went into detail:
I get the call the night before Smackdown, after RAW they said come to Smackdown we have something for you. I had a clue something was going on then. I get to the building at like 3 o’clock and Ace (John Laurintias) says ‘ah no kid wait right here’.
Edge was standing out there with Swagger for a while and Edge was pulled in before Swagger was and Swagger attempted to walk in and the door was closed on him and Ace told him to wait. Jericho either walked in after or was already in.
I thought it was pretty straight forward and professional. Chris in my face looks at me and turns and says ‘Don’t F*** This Up, I’ll be w
atching every move.’
Swagger went on to say to this day he doesn’t know if Jericho was either serious or messing with him to see his reaction.
Edge went on to give his reaction:
I remember Chris turning and saying that and I go ‘oh my God’. If you had said ‘hey f*** you’ you would’ve been warranted in doing that and then it would’ve kicked off. Chris would’ve tried because he doesn’t back down but I thought to myself leave it at that.”
Edge went on to say it was just another classic Chris moment and will always be remembered for him.
