The Usos Become The New SmackDown Tag Champions At The Elimination Chamber PPV
The SmackDown Tag Team Titles were on the line tonight at WWE’s Elimination Chamber PPV as The Miz and Shane McMahon hoped to defend their titles against The Usos.
Following The Miz’s announcement that he was going to once again become a dad, and he and Maryse revealed that they were expecting their second child was the SmackDown Tag Title Match. With Jimmy Uso being arrested earlier in the week it led many to wonder if that would affect the outcome of tonight’s match, which it appeared to not have impact at all as The Usos were victorious and are the NEW SmackDown Tag Champs.
The Miz connected with the Skull Crushing Finale on Jimmy Uso, Miz went for the pin and before the ref’s hand could hit the mat for the 3 count, Jimmy Uso countered the pinfall attempt and rolled the Miz up with a crucifix and scored the pinfall victory.

The Usos’ Tag Title victory comes in the wake of a week full on controversy. There was also a new report that a close family member is furious at Jimmy on top of previous reports the the twins were unhappy with WWE, and the company was fearful of losing them once their contracts expire at the end of April.
We will have to see how tonight’s victory plays into The Usos decision as to what they will do about their expiring contracts.
