As we saw last night at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View, The Usos defeated The Miz and Shane McMahon to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
Their title win comes in the wake of a very difficult week for Jimmy Uso, who was arrested in Detroit for disorderly conduct and obstruction after he “squared up” trying to fight a police officer after he and his wife Naomi were pulled over due to her driving the wrong way down a one way street.
Last night’s victory begins The Usos sixth reign as WWE Tag Team Champions. Following the match Jimmy Uso spoke about his recent legal issues and how it feels like the whole world is against him.
Jimmy Uso said:
“You go out there day in and day out and you grind and you bust your ass. As soon as you slip one time you got the world against you, you know?”
“It’s hard to go out like that with the mindset thinking everyone out there’s against you. Until you go out there and you show them what you’re really made of. “
The Usos WWE contracts are said to expire at the end of April, and there had been reports that the two were unhappy with their situation in WWE and there was fear that the two could possibly leave the company with their contracts are up. We will have to see how last night’s title win impacts the Usos decision over the next few months.
