Triple H Talks About DX’s 2019 WWE Hall Of Fame Induction
It was announced today that Degeneration-X will be inducted into the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Class.
Six members of DX will be included into the induction, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac. One person who is not included however, is Rick Rude who was a major part of the stable during it’s early days before jumping to WCW and joining the nWo. This will be Triple H’s first induction into the Hall of Fame, it will also be The New Age Outlaws, X-Pac, and Chyna’s first inductions as well. This will mark Shawn Michaels second time being inducted as part of the WWE Hall of Fame.
WWE is crediting ESPN with breaking the news, which was leaked earlier this morning prior to any announcement. Triple H spoke with ESPN about going into the Hall of Fame as a group, saying:
“I think it’s the most meaningful for us all to go in together and to be recognized together. Because I think both groups were [just] as impactful.”
“It’s a funny thing, because DX was something that, before Kevin [Nash] and Scott [Hall] left, at the time we all talked about using ‘The Kliq’ as it was — kind of morphing that into television, since it was so out there anyways. But things worked out the way they did — they left, and the timing was right.”
“Shawn and I still wanted to do it. Vince saw the value in it, I guess, and finally let us go at it,” Levesque continued. “By that point in time I was looking for a heater, and we had brought Chyna.”
