On this week’s RAW, the WWE Universe was in for a huge surprise as Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, and Ricochet made their main roster debuts. However, they weren’t the only ones who were surprised.
According to Ringside News, almost no one backstage were aware of the main roster call ups until it was announced on RAW itself. There was no mention of it even the previous night at Elimination Chamber.
The superstars who were surprised the most included the NXT call-ups from January, who haven’t been used properly yet. So regardless, it was a very surprising decision on WWE’s part.
