WWE Considering Fastlane PPV Match For #DIY?
As we saw on this week’s WWE TV, four top NXT Superstars made their main roster debuts appearing on both RAW and SmackDown LIVE. The decision apparently was made late last week, and even Triple H wasn’t aware of plans due to a communication issue between himself and Vince McMahon.
The debuts of this latest round of NXT Superstars seemed sporadic and didn’t make much sense to a lot of people, including many within WWE. It now looks as though WWE has something big planned for at least two of the four NXT Superstars.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the call-ups, and mentioned that it appears as though #DIY will continue their main roster push and will be working a program with RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival. The two teams faced off in a non-title match on this past week’s episode of RAW, which Ciampa and Gargano won. According to the report it looks like the two teams could face off again at the upcoming Fastlane PPV.
Fastlane takes place on March 10th in Cleveland, Ohio. Interestingly enough, Cleveland happens to be the hometown of #DIY member Johnny Gargano. Having Gargano wrestle on a PPV in his hometown is bound to be a ticket seller as he is a huge fan favorite there.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding WWE’s Fastlane PPV plans, or anything else concerning #DIY and the other NXT Call-ups.
