Exclusive: Update On TJP’s Tattoos & Backstage Behavior
WWE announced Friday that they had come to terms on the release of former Cruiserweight Champion TJP.
While speaking to a source within WWE Friday afternoon, I was told that prior to his release that TJP had been lobbying for more airtime on WWE TV. It had also been mentioned to me how he had historically been difficult to work.
It had also been said that there could have been some heat backstage on TJP for getting all of his recent tattoos, in an update to that I have learned that TJP asked permission to get his new ink months in advance. So there apparently was no heat on him for his tattoos and it did not contribute to his release.
When I reached out and asked about TJP’s behavior backstage, another source had mentioned to me that he was not known to spend a lot of time with many of the guys on the roster, and that he seemed to spend more time with female talent. Whether or not this had anything to do with how he was perceived backstage is not known.
One that that is known, is that TJP was blindsided by the news of his release. He had previously stated in a recent interview that it was his dream to work for WWE and that he wished to work for the company forever.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding TJP and his release from WWE.
Update: TJP also addressed the reports of his tattoos around the same time we were putting out our article.
I mean, the boss thought they were pretty cool last Tuesday when we met 🤷🏻♂️…and also when he gave me permission to get them 6 months ago. https://t.co/GmisNHFCph
