Hideo Itami had asked for his WWE release recently, and he was actually granted his release. Unlike TJP, who was released without him asking for it. Itami desired this change in his career.
Itami commented on his WWE release saying “Thanks again”. He also said fans will be able to see him work again under his old name of Kenta.

He might sign with AEW. Or perhaps, he might return to Japan where he is already a household name as Kenta. We will have to wait and see what happens.
