Mustafa Ali had a lot of momentum going into Elimination Chamber. However, he suffered a concussion and was pulled from the Elimination Chamber match. Kofi Kingston was his replacement and received the same push that Ali was supposed to get.
Kofi went on to have the push of his career and was close to winning the WWE Championship. He might have a shot at the title again at Wrestlemania, though he was replaced by Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship match at Fastlane. However, Mustafa Ali is not forgotten.
Ali teased his return on Twitter by posting an animated gif of an hourglass with sands trickling down through it.
Finally, Mustafa Ali made his in-ring return after receiving the green light to return to action. Ali challenged Bryan for the WWE Championship Title at WWE’s Live Event in Minneapolis.
He gave it his best shot but ultimately failed to capture the WWE Title as Bryan won the match.
We will have to wait and see what Mustafa Ali does since he is finally back.
