Injuries can happen at anytime in WWE. Recently NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa has been suffering from a neck injury and will require surgery. Now they have to change storylines. This is something WWE wants to avoid for Wrestlemania.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that one of the reasons why WWE booked a triple threat main event for WrestleMania this year is to avoid an unfortunate situation where an injury could ruin plans.
“One of the reasons that a lot of people don’t know they’re doing the three-way with Charlotte, Becky, and Ronda — it’s not a major reason, but it is one of the reasons is the fear that if any one of the three got hurt we can still do the singles match.”
We will have to wait and see what becomes of the RAW Women’s Title picture.
