As we saw last night during WWE’s Fastlane PPV, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix sat in on commentary during the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match.
Following their loss to the Boss N’ Hug Connection, Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka were in the middle of a post match beat down on the tag champs outside the ring when Beth Phoenix decided to get involved. Beth stood up and removed her headset and walked around the announce desk and stood between Nia & Tamina and Bayley who was down and out on the floor.
This of course drew a response from Nia and Tamina as they blindsided Beth, and proceeded to savagely beat her down. This brought out Natalya, who ran down to the ring to make the save, sorta.. as she was unsuccessful in her attempt and caught a beating from Nia & Tamina for her effort.
This seemingly teased a return of the Divas of Doom, and looked to be setting up a program with the team of Nia and Tamina. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio this is indeed seems to be the direction in which WWE is going.
It isn’t known for certain if this is going to be a match at WrestleMania 35 or not, but it would make sense that this would be the plan. We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Beth Phoenix, and plans for WrestleMania 35.
