Vince McMahon gave Kofi Kingston a WWE Title chance if he can win the gauntlet match on next week’s Smackdown Live.
During that promo, McMahon called Big E and Xavier Woods a couple of “young bucks” and implied that Kofi Kingston did all the work.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that this was something many noticed.
“Everyone seems to think that was a knock at Cody Rhodes, but we’ll see. Yeah. One would think”
Perhaps this was a reference to The Young Bucks turning down a lucrative offer from WWE to join All Elite Wrestling.
