Scott Dawson: Midnight Express Should Be In Hall Of Fame
Current Raw Tag Team Champion and one-half of The Revival Scott Dawson says that Midnight Express should be in WWE’s Hall of Fame.
Speaking to The Mirror, Dawson explained why he thinks Midnight Express deserves to be inducted:
“They drew so much.. I think people forget that sometimes because, [looking back at] the territory days, so much gets lost. “They drew so much money as a team, with guys like the Rock N’ Roll Express, Magnum TA and Mr Wrestling 2, and Junkyard Dog and Bill Watts. Not only did they have great matches, and not only did Jim Cornette provide so many of the great interviews of all time, but they drew so much money.”
Midnight Express made a name for themselves while working in the AWA, JCP and WWE. They won tag team titles from a number of promotions, and consisted of different members. It started out with Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose and Norvell Austin in the 1980s, but included members such as Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane.
As for the Hall of Fame this year, The Honky Tonk Man, Torrie Wilson, D-Generation X and Harlem Heat have been named as the inductees of the twentieth class to the WWE Hall of Fame.
