Vince McMahon Never Wanted To See The Undertaker Vs. Sting
WWE Hall of Famer Sting recently said in an interview that the only way he would come out of retirement is if it was to work a match with The Undertaker.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer states that he was told by WWE that Sting was unable to get medical clearance to wrestle again. He went on to say that the match is a “pipe-dream” that will remain something that will not happen.
Meltzer also went on to explain that the reason the match won’t happen is that WWE is careful with their “older guys.” He also mentions that Vince McMahon actually never wanted the match in the first place.
“WWE’s really careful with older guys because of what happened with Lawler.”
“Vince was never hot on that match anyway. I mean people were for whatever reason. Sting’s already 60.”
Basically if Vince McMahon had wanted to see The Undertaker wrestle Sting we would have seen it long ago, and we most certainly won’t be seeing it going forward at this stage in their careers.
